Sheep

Sheep move around in large groups called flocks. Sheep are hardy animals. This means that it can survive in tough climates, and feed on different types of grass. Sheep like to stay close together in a herd A young sheep is called a lamb. A male lamb after a year is called a ram. A female sheep is called a ewe. Sheep have a field of vision of around 300 degrees, allowing them to see behind themselves without having to turn their head. The sheep is an animal which has a thick coat of fleece on its body. The Wool fibre made from the fleece of the sheep is an ideal fabric for sweaters, coats, rugs, blankets and much more. The average life-span of a sheep is about 7 years.
