Dragonflies

There are over 3,600 kinds of dragonflies and they come in a variety of colours including blue, green, yellow, and red. Dragonflies don't sting and generally don't bite people even though they have sharp teeth. Dragonflies are fierce hunters. Dragonflies have excellent eyesight. A Dragonfly has two large compound eyes which take up most of its head. Dragonflies can see in every direction, except right behind them. Their bodies are long and slender and they have a short antennae. A Dragonfly has two pairs of strong transparent wings sometimes with coloured patches that are held flat and away from the body. Dragonflies are agile fliers, sometimes migrating across oceans, and are often found near water. Dragonflies are not actually a fly the difference being that flies only have two wings whereas dragonflies have four wings.
