Cows

A study claims that domesticated cows are descended from a single herd of wild ox, which lived 10,500 years ago. Cattle are either raised as livestock or dairy animals for milk and other dairy products. An adult male is called a bull. The colour red doesn’t make bulls angry. In fact, cows are red-green colourblind. In bullfights it’s the motion of the cape that draws the bull’s attention, not the colour. A young female before she has had a calf of her own and is under three years of age is called a heifer. An adult female that has had a calf is a cow which makes a Moo Sound. Young cattle are called calves which make a Bawling sound. Cows can hear lower and higher frequencies better than humans and have a keen sense of smell up to 5 miles away. The average cow chews at least 50 times per minute. Cows have a single stomach, but four different digestive compartments. The average cow drinks 30 to 50 gallons of water and produces up to 8 gallons of milk per day. Cows just have bottom teeth. A cow’s heart beats between 60 and 70 beats per minute. No two cows have exactly the same pattern of black and white spots. They are all different
